Happy Chinese New Year 2005
Feb 4th was the first day of Spring according to the Chinese Calendar and this is an odd year where the spring comes before the Chinese New Year. In Chinese Astrology, this is a bad combination, and for my zodiac, warning throughout the months for sickness, loss of money, trouble, etc. Starting a new year with such news kills away any kind of excitement or enjoyment. Maybe I've let worries to take over and lost my better judgment. Nevertheless, this new year certainly going to be very much different from what I've experienced before. Mainly, this is because my status has changed from Single to Married, and thus, cash flow is on the outward instead of inward. I will have to start giving "Ang Pow" this year instead of receiving them if you don't catch my drift. I am not that all comfortable giving the red packets as I lack the skills in well wishing for kids. I guess I will just have a common phrase and repeat it for hundreds of times.. 'Be good and study hard this year, ok!' Lets see if anyone complaints of familiarity haha.. Anyway, to all that is reading this post, Happy Chinese New Year and wish you the best of luck and fortunes for this year of the Rooster!
