On a macro level, I actually feel Disgusted and Embarassed. A nation that has been so-called at the leading edge of the 3rd world / developing countries list, but the government is acting like some cavemen trying to protect their caves or some kid trying to protect some sandcastle (in the air) that they have built for themselves. Sending people across the globe to "runaway" from reality - call it whatever you want, agricultural study etc. The government needs to understand the Rakyat is no longer what it is 50 years ago - with the internet and strong mass media coverage, people are assessible to the truth more than what we could years ago. It also seems like the government may still be living in the past and therefore may not be as capable to know what is best for the country anymore.

No matter what, as much disappointed as most of the Rakyat right now, my urge and prayer is that we do this the diplomatic and professional way. Don't let history repeat itsef (that may very well be what certain "individuals" or "parties" want - so that they can continue to apprehend our leaders). Let's not take matters into our own hands. Let's have faith in our New Leaders that they know what is the right thing to do and what is the next right step and give them our support from behind. After all, it is time that we see what our New Leaders have under their belt and how they can wrestle their way artfully out of this mess that the current leaders / leasdership have caused...
