Initially when I moved job to Kulim, I thought there would be more time to blog. This is mainly because of the shuttle commuting time of at least 45 minutes each way. That is if there is no jam on the Penang Bridge. I ended up sleeping or resting most of the time, too tired to open up the laptop. On days when I open up the laptop, I need to complete some kind of work. Finally, after 13 weeks in Kulim, I finally can blog on the shuttle. Blogging on the shuttle is not something trivial. The shuttle is like a shock & vibe machine where there are constant movement in all directions. Its like one of those astronaut training machine. At times, I just felt like puking and usually leaves me with a headache or a bad wind problem. Somehow, my stomach just cannot take the constant push and jerk. I guess the company have been kind enough to provide the shuttle service. It would be nice if they could provide a more comfortable ride. With all kinds of cost saving initiative lately, especially the elimination of coffee/tea/vico during b’fast and also the reduction of shuttle service between campus, the last thing the company will do is to pay the shuttle vendor more for a better shuttle.
Maybe feeling nausea on the bus is a physiological effect? I used to be tougher, and could withstand even rough sea ride, somehow, as the body ages, the tolerance to such conditions seams to be diminishing. Somehow lately, I felt so old, kind of lost the zest of youth. Again, I think all these are more psychological than physical and a healthy mind will lead to a healthy body.

Yeah, you lost quite some weight when I saw you last weekend. So now, you are the Winnie-the-Not so-Pooh :)
Cheers!

Dude, it’s a combination of a few items.
Bus.driver+bus.condition+you.focusing.on.your.laptop+hot.weather = nausea / badwind / motion sickness
Talk to the Yorker. He had a pretty bad experience with the “blue-mobile” as well. I never thought of doing anything else on the shuttle except to sleep.
Oh, one advise – try to grab a seat nearer to the front of the shuttle, it will help – the front of the bus acts like a fulcrum, so the further away you are from the pivoting point, the higher the fluctuations will be :P. That’s from a person who’s “suffered” the “bluemachine” for 1.5years. ha ha
boon out…

Yea.. the ‘Live Food’ diet is working for me…
Ah Boon, I notice that the front of the bus is also a little rocky, row 3 is best for me… can sleep through like a baby…

Your action is not encouragable. It’s kinda inconvenient and dangerous. Everytime when we’re on the road, be it passengers or drivers, we’re exposed to all kinds of risks. Of course, what I am saying here is accident. When emergency happens to us, we might need to get quit quickly. Hmm… Did I just say too much??
Oh yeah, I’ve just linked you!! :D
