Today, shall go down in the Malaysian history where the Pakatan Rakyat (Citizen Alliance) was born.  As it is still in it’s infant stage and will need all the component party (DAP, PAS & PKR) members approval, the birth brings with it the hope of a re-new nation.  April 1st, 2008 will go down in the history books as the day where the Oppositions formed an alliance with the promise to uphold the rights and interests of all Malaysians, regardless of religion or race, as enshrined in the Constitution.  These are interesting and turbulent times.  Turbulent in the sense that we go to sleep with the notion that we may wake up the next day with a new Prime Minister.  

During my dad time, there were no TV, no RSS, no Internet, no Email, they were living in a world where informations are fully controlled or delayed.  It was interesting times as there were uncertainties around, especially a young nation which struggles to stand out among those inhibit this place called earth.  Today, how things have changed, informations are still being controlled, but with less effectiveness and informations can fly as fast as the wind goes, it is still uncertain times.  After 50 years, the country which was born and grow with the blood and sweats of our forefathers have now come into puberty.  The Rakyat are now more civilized and in tuned with the rest of the this place called earth.  We see what was wrong and do the right thing, with full of emotional maturity.  And as a result, the birth of a new political alliance called Pakatan Rakyat.  

Son or Daughter, if you read this post in the future, ask me about these turbulent times.  Where you mum tried to punk me on this Fools day, and I played along so that she is happy, where a day fools are beeing fooled, the day of birth of the Pakatan Rakyat.  This day in history.
