GSC is carrying a promo for this school holiday which started yesterday. 2 tickets for the price of 1 and limited to asterisk marked movies only. At GSC Queensbay Penang, the movies are Ghost Rider, Protege and Lady Iron Chef. We made it to Protege yesterday and Ghost Rider today. Protege was exciting, and was thought provoking. Why do people take drugs? Daniel Wu (undercover narcotic agent) concluded that “emptiness” that drives drug abuse, and asked, which is more scarier, emptiness or the drug itself. Ghost Rider on the other hand, was a comedic movie and truly entertaining. There were some rempit scenes, and towards the end, the caretaker reveal himself to be the previous ghost rider. I thought Protege was pretty good too. Dark and like you said thought provoking film. Talking about movies, I still haven’t gone and picked up The Illusionist and The Prestige on DVD yet. they seem like a good watch. Haven’t really looked into Pan’s Labyrinth. Maybe you could do a review on it once you watch it on that ‘plasma’ of yours. Bast*rd. ;)
