The convergence between the TV and PC has already started. The new D-link Media Center is just a start. The one feature that is important here is the wifi capability. This means that we could stream movies, pictures and music from our desktop in the study into the TV or home theater system. What is lacking at this module is that is not a full PC yet and it is just a set top box that stream media though I would love to have a few more functions than just streaming. I would like to have at least a huge hard disk so that I could record movies or TV programs that I would miss and watch it later. Nevertheless, having the capability to stream media from the PC is already a huge leap in the home entrainment front. I could now download any media from the web and then watch it at the leisure of the TV room. I am eagerly waiting for this to be available in Malaysia.

- Imsomia - 2008
- Am Not the only One - 2005
Can this media centre be used to upload videos (from Astro, from VCR or Digi cam) into a PC?

I dont believe this model supports this feature… ultimately, if we could have a huge hdd and recording capability, then once we record astro, we can download from our PC…
