JamLegend is a web rendition of the popular game Guitar Hero. Using your keyboard as a guitar, you can Jam through various gene type of songs. I have not played guitar hero before, but I know what it is and have seen youtuber showing off their skills. This looks the same and I enjoy it much. The pace was a little fast when I started, but once I get used to the beats, it comes in natural. Sometimes, I think my subconscious mind was driving the finger rather than me. This was especially evident when comes the tricky sequences. Somehow the fingers just grace through the buttons automatically, while I was thinking when I will be screwing up. And the second that thought expires, I screw up. As I played the song more and more times, I got better and able to accomplish the tricky notes, and that felt really good. I wonder if playing the real guitar felt the same way too. There are a total of 5 strings, and 3 levels. Easy only plays 3 strings, while medium 4 and hard all 5 strings. As you play and scores, you get groupies, which is like a trophy of your accomplishments. Currently there are a total of 38 accomplishments, and it will take an expert of the game or a lot of time to get them all. You can also invite your friend to a Duels to see who is better and also to climb the points ladder as well as collect accomplishments. Currently the game only has guitar, but I see Bass, Drums and keyboard as part of the future offerings. After all, the laptop keyboard has so many buttons, enough to support the mention instruments.
The songs selection are good, I enjoyed the beats most of the time. As the game are currently in Beta, I expect to see some minor tweaks in the near future. Currently, the game seams to load in segments over broadband, so if it is not fully loaded, you can expects to pause once you have finish the segment. This disrupts the game. I guess sometimes the loading speed is not that fast, and people may get tired of waiting, that is why they allow you to go first. I have been addicted to this game for a couple of days and now tired of playing alone. Come join me with the invitation below. Just click “Join Jamlegend” and it will bring you the sign up page. You will automatically be my friend. Train up and challenge me. Oh, the game is free, forgot to mention that.
A must get PSP game for this month. This is my first experience with God of War game and I am truely impress of the game play and the graphical detail that goes into this game. I have not have such experience with PSP since Loco roco. The game started off with a few buttons to press and as you progress the minion gets stronger and you learn more tricks and the character that you played also gets stronger. The learning curve were easy and plenty of opportunity to practice new skills. There were also 3 difficulty level to choose from, so if you did not have the confident, you can start off with the easy setting, where the minions dies easily and the Boss also easier to kill. I started off with the medium setting as this is the first time playing and also I did not want it to be too easy.
There were plenty of action sequences, and even have the opportunity to have sex early on in the game. It was challanging, where one have to quickly press a set of sequential buttons that changes every time. I had to admit that it took me a while to get the two ladies to achieve orgasm. This is not only a hack and slash game, there were also puzzles to solve and a great story line to follow. The camera angle was cinematic and at a few scenes, it was truely artistic. My wife who watches me play at times thought she was watching a movie, atleast she takes it that way.
If you were considering between Patapon ($19.99) and God of War Chain of Olympus ($39.99), I would advice to spend your money on the later. Patapon can wait, and since it is only $19.99, you can get it later as it is much affordable.

My new addiction is on my new PSP game, Patapon, a well spent $19.99, which take my nights away, leaving me with puffy eyes and a rhythmic daze. Patapon is a new PSP game just release a month ago which shares the same art director as Loco Roco. It is a 2D game, where you only go forward to the left, you guide a bunch of eyeball warriors moving forward to the right fighting other enemy pons and monsters, destroying walls, buildings and rocks. Unlike Loco Roco, which I loved the gameplay, this game test your patience and keeping your cool in rhythm. I have been playing the game for a week, and I am stuck at level 8, and I am giving up. God of War has been released, and I got my sights set on it. I will most probably go back and play loco roco till God of War arrives.
You can try the flash game here.
Watch how it looks like in youtube.

After 17 hours of gameplay, I have finally beaten Lost Regnum (on PSP) with the Gladiator character. This dungeon crawler game has 3 gameplay mode, Story Mode, which takes you through the story of your character being hired to solve a lost king mystery. Upon completing this mode, you unlocks the dungeon mode, of which, the same 16 levels of dungeons where you went through, but with additional 2 level of difficulty, namely ”
Hard” and “Hell”. You will have to complete all 16 levels under “hard” before you can proceed to “hell”. Finally, the 3rd mode, which is the multiplayer mode, enables you to host the game and fight in the dungeons with other players.
The game was easy, and the minions were not at all smart. At some levels, all you have to do is just run around in circles, around spikes and the minions will run into the spikes and got themselves killed. The trick to the game, that is if it is too much for you to fight all 5 minions at the same time, is to entice them to follow you to a dark alley one by one and then slash them to pieces. The most difficult level was the last level where you have to fight two mindless moster controlled by the king who rides in a horse in a distance. You will have to kill the two moster repeatedly to have the king come into the fighting ring. I load up much life potion going into this round. You will need it. Once you conquer this, you will have to fight the king again, without his horse and you are done.
Here are a few interesting things to note about the game:
– You can only save the game through your treasure chest, so no saving of game during mid play.
– Once you exit from each level, to go back, you will have to start from the begining of the level again, fighting the same minions all over again. So, if you die at the last step of the level, you will have to play the entire level again.
– Every item you pickup, goes to your treasure chest directly, so no worries about weight. Even, if you die, you still get to keep the items… yeah…
