Ok, this nifty has been around for many many years, and bless me, I now only got to find out about it. This is a dll file that smooth your Windows XP font to look more like Vista or Mac. It actually bolds it a little and makes it more rounded compare to the thin and skinny looking font of the default XP. Below is a comparison of how my XP font rendering looks like with and without GDI++. At both times, I already have my true type turn on. The application has been discontinued and may be a little buggy. I have no problems using it so far.

The age of Terabyte has arrived. You can now get one for USD99.99 with $20 mail in rebate. Unfortunately, they only ship in the US. So, if you have friends there who are getting back, you can try to get one. HDD space are now getting cheaper and cheaper. The other day, I saw Harvey Norman selling a 500G HDD for RM399, and I thought that was already very cheap, this Terabyte deal is even sweeter. I believe its a matter of time, before a 1TB HDD hit our shores. So for now, we can only drool…
Update:
As Kavi have pointed out below, TB have hit our shores, just the low pricing haven’t…
Fancy super heroes as your dock icons, mermer has come up with a set of cute and shinny little dock icons. From Iron Man, to Hulk, X-men, Fantastic 4, from Captian America to the Punisher, Spiderman and the Ghost Rider. They are pretty awesome and every super heroes fan must have. Oh, they have reflections too, makes it a little more 3d… its just every dock icon must have these days…
I transition from last month’s text icon to nice and cute icons representing each applications. LIke the Safari hat for Safari, a young fox for firefox, etc.
