Today the star report that the government makes RM16mil a day from petrol prices as they have not reduce enough to reflect the world crude oil price, which is at USD44/barrel. Since the government is making money from me, then I should be exempted from pay Tax. The Everyday, the government is making RM16mil, 3-4 months, it would be 1.6bil, that’s more than what I pay the government in a lifetime. Why does the government have to dip into my pocket at the end of the year, while they have been doing that for half the year? At these tough economic times, this is the least the government could do. Since the EPF have been reduced to 8%, the government stand to gain from that in income tax. Now, they gain more from fuel money. Since there are no transparency on how these moneys are spent, it troubles me to pay more income Tax and to pay a premium price for fuel so that the government could make more money. While a rakyat like me suffer in these tough economic conditions. So, can I just not pay Income Tax? since I have been paying this tax on a daily basis, every time I pump and drive my car…
