I transition from last month’s text icon to nice and cute icons representing each applications. LIke the Safari hat for Safari, a young fox for firefox, etc.
As I was going to sleep, this funny incident pop into my mind and I thought of sharing it out. When I was very young, I had a journal. I wrote it off an old diary and mostly about what happen on the day and sometimes my feelings towards certain things. It was a personal space, nothing people shouldn’t see, Just I rather for my eyes only. Like in many things in my life, it was hangat hangat tahi ayam, after some time, i just got lazy and stop writing. I even forgot where I put the diary. It was out of my mind and time.
Not too long after that, i saw this journal of mine mysteriously appeared on my desk. I open it up and it was filled with grammar corrections. Yes, apparently, mum somehow found my journal and decided to have a read. Not only that, she even corrected my grammar while at it. I was pissed at that time for the fact that she read my diary. I told her that it was my personal space and I appreciate it that she does not set onto it, more over making grammar corrections. I was very small then. Recounting the incident, I just can’t help to laugh on the fact that mum did grammar corrections on my journal writings.
Learning from that incident, I hid my second journal years later when I decided to have a go at writing again. Again, after some time, when the chicken shit turns cold, I forgot where I kept it. Suddenly in the middle of the night during my second year of College abroad, it dawned to me that that journal was loosely hidden in my room of which my parents had a small remodeling after I left for college. I can’t help to think if she did find it and read it, and this one, I truly did not want anyone to read as it cannot see the light of day. It was my teenage years journal, and you know what shit that goes through teenage minds.
Anyway, I got home from College, found the journal intact, and I still wonder if she did actually read it. One thing for sure was that there was no grammar correction on my writings. In a way, I was glad, she might not have read it. This blog of mine can be considered as my third journal, and it is viewable everyone in the world, so no dark secrets here, but mum does not know it exists. If she does find out, I dont mind her reading it. Too bad that she can’t make any grammar corrections on my blog entry.
A couple of days ago I pick up this thread from Lorelle over a competition about the feeling when you first blog. The prize was a brand new theme professionally designed, and the author’s ebook on Blog writing success. It was simple, just submit a photo and then a nice catchy caption, and whoala, I won. There were 50 winners picked. I submitted the above photo capturing the excitement in the dawn of a new age. Blogging was a hobby and during the early days, I was particularly excited, and the photo just capture that nicely. Thanks to Liz Strauss for the prizes.
I recently came across Weird Al at youtube and found that this goofy musician are still kickin it. The MTV I came across was unofficial version of “I’m Pitiful”, yes, you guessed it, a parody of James Blunt’s “I’m Beautiful”. This guy has parodied countless hits, and my favorite of them all were his original score titled “You Dont Love Me Anymore”. Video below.
Not so long ago, I came across this nice little iPhone clone in China, and was intrigue by it. I took it home for a price more than half the Original phone. This glamour phone of mine had an awfully short life. In just about a month, I drop my Canon A95 camera on top of the phone screen, and Bam, there goes the screen. The entire phone still functions, and the screen are still clickable. But half the screen is blank and the other half is hazy. The CiPhone has been reduced to a nice looking paper weight. Fortunately, the functions still operate, so I can still receive calls and the camera still works, which is good, cause the phone makes a great web cam. It was a cheap glamour phone, and now it has been upgraded to a very expensive paper weight and web cam. Its interesting how karma works, you never know when you have to pay back. It would be nice to enjoy the phone a little more, but then again, it is better to pay back now than later. I guess this is what you get for ripping off Apple.
