I now know the Police Priorities

Reading the news over at Malaysiakini regarding thugs beating up people, I was shock to read the following item.

It looks like people’s life is less important than “mengawal lalulintas”..

Free Roadtax through advertisement?

Someone over at JPJ must have been very innovative and smart to sell the roadtax space for advertisement. As this is all good for JPJ, I hope to see this to be turn into something more beneficial for the rakyat. After all, the rakyat pays road tax, and if JPJ is getting money from advertisement on roadtax stickers, why not transfer that to the rakyat? It can take off the rakyat’s burden on current escalating economic situations.

Elderwise Cafe in Penang

The place gives a tranquil feeling of an old rustic charm. Jazzy French music on the background slows everything down, stopping time and makes the worries of the world disappear. The location of the restaurant is on a quiet one lane street, named Armenian street. This place brings out the feeling of the olden 40’s, and it is mainly due to the interior decoration and if you look out, you only see the business across the street, which still has the old architecture intact. Its like time has stop, and you have been transported back to the good old days. The patrons are also mostly expats and tourist, again reminding you that you are at a different place. The food is nice, full of European menu with a dash of local favorites and the pricing is a little on the high side. For the ambiance, its worth it. Set meals are the best deals with RM19.99, you get a soup for appetizer, an entrée, a dessert and a drink. It’s the best place to spend your lazy afternoon. Get a drink, a dessert and immerse yourself in your book in the backdrop of yesteryears….

Loosing Touch

In the past month, I have been so busy with work that I have lost touch with my blog.  This is the first time I could sneak some time to put down my emotion of things of late.  I have been so busy with work and life that I have a bee line of items to blog, but starved of the time to do so.  This is why I felt that I am loosing touch with my blog.  Also, I have just discovered that my google page rank have been smack to 0, and I wonder what triggered that.  Lets leave it alone for a while and see what happens.  Speaking of loosing touch and leaving things alone, looks like the government are loosing touch with the public and keep digging their grave deeper and deeper.  The opposition just need to sit tight, the government will deliver the country to them on a silver platter.  The recent Raja Petra case, the indelible ink no substance fiasco, and the erection of a barricade over Mahkota Cheras.  The government have lost touch of why they are there in the first place.  All I have seen is that the government have been on the wrong side of issues, instead on the right side, serving the people, they have been on the wrong side creating sufferings for people.  The recent election results have not been enough to wake them up.  It is just normal.  For people who have been in a comfort zone for so long, and have been in a slumber sleep for so long, it is very hard to wake them up.  I just can’t wait for Pakatan Rakyat to take over the government.  We need a fresh change, else, rakyat will suffer.
