New Player in Town : Grabmyads

gma.JPG

On Christmas day, not everyone is on holiday. I received a mail from Grabmyads, a new monetary site for bloggers, and in Ringgit Malaysia too. Firstly, I wonder how they got my email address? I wonder if this is a spinoff from nuffnang or advertlets. Nevertheless, I am happy that they sent me a mail, so that I could sign up. But then, on the sign up process, I am required to provide full name (which is fine), address (which is also fine), IC/Passport number (hymmm, why do they need this?), Race & Religion (huh?) and bank account number (this is where i draw the line).

In a nutshell, I was rather interested to join a new blog monetary company, but I was not willing to give out too much of a personal informations, especially bank account numbers to a new company that has no track reputation.

Why can’t they be like Google, no IC needed, no need to say race and religion and best of all, no need to give bank account number. If google can do it, why can’t grabmyads.

Penang Bloggers

Give a Gift of Knowledge this Christmas

To all Malaysians, as the year is closing in a few weeks time, take this opportunity to give to charitable organizations and end the year with some good deeds.  For those who celebrate Christmas, do bring some joy to not just your friends and family, but also to those who are unfortunate.  To those who don’t celebrate Christmas, do share the joy of giving especially to the underprivileged.  If you do not have a place to donate or give, head to your nearest MPH bookstore.  MPH is driving a Share-A-Gift Program where you can purchase a book and give to a less fortunate child.  MPH have a list of selected homes, and the names of the children will be written on a card and placed on the Christmas tree in the bookstore.  You can select a child from the tree and purchase a book for him/her.  MPH will give you RM5 voucher for every child you purchase a book for (while stock last) and the book receipt can be kept for Inland Revenue Board (Income tax) rebate.  Help a child, and help your self, it is a win win.  So, let your heart flow this December, and go purchase a book for a child.
