It was a year ago, when I first did Yoga at home. I bought this Yoga book for RM19.90 and it came with a instructional DVD that lasted for 45 minutes. With this DVD, I did yoga daily for almost 3 months, of which later laziness took over. During that 3 months, I see improvements in my concentration, mood, and general wellbeing. Just 2 days ago, I started to continue the instructional DVD. The first day was horrific, my mind was wandering everywhere and my body could not bend at all. The second day see good improvement in flexibility, but the monkey mind still looms like a wild horse. Today, my flexibility improves to my amazement. I could bend even more compare to a year ago. My concentration improves and yoga was so much enjoyable. 10 minutes in, I started to sweat profusely in an air-condition room. Third day in, I am still excited. I hope to keep this momentum going and break last years record, 6 months before I allow myself to quit.
For those how wants to start on Yoga, I recommends to either go to a center or get this book. If you get to a center, don’t be shy or worry that you cannot bend like the expert. Everyone starts off like that. With practice, your flexibility will improve, and in no time, you will be amaze that you can bend like the instructor. Beckham also bends the balls he kicked with much of practice. Not suggesting you bend like Beckham (yea, I just need to say that), practice makes you better. As you can do more like the instructor, you will enjoy yoga more and more. Yogarize your body… haha.. If someone ask where you get this word, you hear it form me first…
