A good reflection of the lazy mood that I am in, a photo of my bedroom that says it all. All I want to do is sleep sleep sleep… and dream of blogging…

Amy Winehouse

The first time I heard Amy Winehouse, I was blown away with her voice and immediately after that, I started to enjoy the rhythm and melody she brought through. It kind of reminded me of Gnarls Barkley. The strange thing is that I don’t think she sounded anywhere near Gnarls Barkley, but somehow, there were some familiarity there. Another thing that struck me that the entire album sounds the same, and yet, alluring with songs like Rehab, You Know I’m No Good, Me & Mr. Jones and Back to Black. For these songs alone, the album (Back to Black) is well worth it. If you don’t get the album, get these songs from iTunes, its a must have for your collection.

Heard of Gigabyte or Amtek?

Well, Gigabyte is not that new to me, I have seen their motherboards in the market for quite some time, but Amtek is totally new to me. These two companies have recently launch their UMPC (Ultra Mobile Personal Computer) at Cebit, and its spanking hot. What could be the next hot thing after Digital Cameras and Portable MP3 players? To me UMPC will be the hot future. With the introduction of 3G and WiMax, this enable high speed internet connection anywhere within a given city and this will help to push UMPC from the techno geek to the average user. Imagine, lost in a city, just pop up your UMPC for a google map. Need Cash, and need a PC to make money transfer? Just pop up your UMPC to do the transaction and withdraw from the nearest ATM machine. Applications are limitless. The biggest challenge to the UMPC makers are how to make the device powerful and yet lightweight and cool looking. Imagine the UMPC released by Gigabyte and Amtek, as thin as the Motorola Razr Phone, how hot is that…

Spring 2007 Reboot

One of the advantage of blogging with WordPress is that the theme change is relatively easy and the wealth of theme designers who churns out eye pleasing themes almost on daily basis is just overwhelming. This time round I made the Sunflower Theme the skin for this spring. The only thing I dislike about this theme is the user agreement which requires the user to NOT remove the links which I believe the designer monetized from. Other than that, the theme looks great, and best of all, simple, which means easily customizable. The reason I go for this design was the fact it has a huge picture header, which I have a wealth of photos of which can be made the header. To start off, to mark the beginning of spring, is the blooming of tulips. If you are in Oregon, this is the time to visit the Tulip farms. The photo above were taken here up at Maxwell Hill, the first Tulip Farm in Malaysia.
