Undressing Ms. Dewey

Ms Dewey undressing

Something came out from Microsoft’s Live Search, an active search engine, which sprinkle some icing onto your search result. Like a barrister who puts the cream on top of the coffee, Ms Dewey smartly comments before she provides you the search result. The idea is cool, and this could pave way for future computerized personal assistance. However in terms of practicality, I am still sticking to Google or Microsoft Live search. The comments are funny, and good, but the layout of the search result is too small, compact and difficult to navigate. It’s a fun toy, and I’ve seen comments on other blogs that people have spent hours playing with Ms Dewey and some wanted to make her as their online girl friend.

Many spent much time on her mainly because of her smart comments, and also the promise of her taking her clothes off (yea, a great way to sell something, the promise of nudity). Instead of what she could do, people were more interested in seeing Ms. Dewey nude. I am not sure where this comes from, but according to this blogger, if the right key word is entered, Ms Dewey would be naked. Well, the keyword is as simple as “take off your clothes”, one just need to be persistent(similarly when you pursue the lady of your dreams), enter it 3 times, and be hold. Pls don’t expect, much, this is associated to Microsoft, and they don’t make porn, not even anything close to soft port, though their name may suggest something micro or soft.

Nude Squat up at the Washington Post

Its an old story, and I am not sure if the Malaysian Public got the closure for this. It has been so long, and so many new issues that popped up, this somehow, the ordeal or issue seams to be a distance past. Sighting the tittle “Amateur Videos Are Putting Official Abuse in New Light” over at C|net, I didn’t think it was about Malaysia at all, until I clicked on the link and suddenly, the articled started with ‘Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, “Do your Squat!, Do your Squat!”‘, and I was thinking, oh, what an old story, then I realized, there wasn’t any really good closure of the incident. Well, maybe there was, and I missed it, anyway, this is Malaysia.

On the closing quote of the article,

Hemy, who recently became a mother, said she views the video two ways. “Of course it brought me shame,” she said, “but it is good because it brought this to light.”

The male officer who recorded Hemy, identified during the government inquiry as Mohamad Dzulfatah, “is in the process of dismissal,” according to a police spokesman. He said that the female officer was “following instructions” and remains on duty but that police station “procedures have changed.”

The police are now trying to turn the technology to their own advantage: They are asking citizens to send digital images of traffic violators, double-parkers and people who otherwise add to this city’s monumental traffic jams.

Hemy’s drug possession case has yet to go to trial, but her lawyer said no drugs were ever found on her. She is suing the police for negligence and seeking damages of about $2.7 million.

Yap Swee Seng, executive director of Suaram, a human rights group, said Hemy has a strong case — one that shows how the common cellphone has shifted power to ordinary citizens.

“Five years ago this would have been totally impossible,” he said.

there seams to be some closure, but I certainly don’t felt the impact as imposed by the author…

Male & Female Paradigm

Almost in all major self help methods, there is a mention of Paradigm shift. To illustrate what a paradigm shift is, the author usually shows a picture of a women, and ask the reader on what do they see, some will say old women, and some will say young women. It’s the same picture, but different people see different things.

I receive a forwarded mail today titled “Hong Kong Wedding Expo”, and one could guess the content. There were a handful of young attractive models fully dressed for their wedding day. Some of the photos are posted here. The most interesting part were not the photos, but rather the content of the mail. There were a few forward string, and they were all among friends. When the female friend forwarded the mail, she include the following instructions.

To Evanna, reference for her coming soon wedding ceremony..

To Linda & Yin2 – reference for “hair deco” during next annual dinner, hehehe.

And then when the male friend forwarded the mail, he include the following comment.

All the girls look like angels… in the wedding gown

The female sees the photos, and see the fashion, the design and draws inspiration. The male sees the photo, and see a beautiful face. It’s the same photo, but different people see different things… How interesting isn’t it, I see the mail, and I notice the comments more than the photos.. that’s another paradigm…..

Get tipsy with Ko-Shu (matured sake)

A few days ago, I posted a plea for Japanese Translation of the bottle of sake that have been sitting in my kitchen for years. A nice soul norzu step forward and provided the date of manufacture and also the site of the sake manufacturer. I proceeded to write a mail to Gekkeikan and asked if the Sake is safe to be consumed. Here is their reply. I wrote in the morning, and I got a reply in the afternoon, truly efficient.

Please accept our sincere appreciation for your kind interest in Gekkeikan Sake.

In order to enjoy sake at its freshest, it is best to consume within one year. However, if left unopened, older sake is not harmful to the health since it does not contaminated. Sake may in fact be enjoyed even if it is well past the recommended consumption period.

Over the years, the taste of sake will mature and change into something very different from the original sake bottled. A matured sake (“Ko-shu” in Japanese), resembles sherry and can be very nice indeed. We actually produce some Ko-shu in Japan but are not yet exporting it to foreign countries.

For a general explanation of Ko-shu, please take a look at our website:

Today, I learnt a little about sake. Big thanks to norzu who replied on my blog posting and also to Gekkeikan for explaining about the product. Its time to get tipsy…
