For those who has Adsense account and uses Firefox, Allan Holmen has generated a Firefox extension to display the current status of your Adsense account. You have the choice to set the frequency of the value check. For people like me, who only earns $0.03 a day, having a few hours to check the value once is sufficient. But for those high rollers, you might want to make it more often and look at it pop.

The extension has all the necessary feature. Users could choose on how to sort the earnings, Today, This Month, Last 7 Days, or my favorite, All time (cause my monthly earnings are too little to be excited about). Users could also choose between Ad Performance or Search Performance or even both and could group the result by page or ad unit.

On the display portion, users could choose to see impressions, clicks, CTR, CPM and Earnings. With all these features, all you need is just this plug in, and you do not have to log into your account unless you need other things else.

What I would like to see and have been searching on is a docket for RK Launcher or a widget that sits at the desktop or an API. Wonder if Allen will develop that….

Just got a message from MSN notifier that the Prince has Arrive, Harry Potter goes on sale. It is now 7.38am, and I am still on the bed, and my wife is still fast asleep. Our initial plan to be early and get the goody bag are reprioritized to a longer sleep on the bed…haha.. Lets see what time we will get out from the house….

As the due date grows closer, I decided to get my IC changed. The main problem I faced is the IC office is usually jam packed and I don’t want to wait in line for hours. Even for small town like Taiping, the line could grow up to a fews hours of waiting time. An opportunity came when I visited Malacca for my wife’s cousin wedding. We got wind that a new registration office at the suburb of Malacca don’t have any crowd at all, and the experience of making the new ID was pleasant.

Me, my wife, and her siblings jump on this opportunity and went to the registration office. There were no line, when we arrived, we went straight to the counter and asked to renew our IC. The guy there greeted us pleasantly and instructed us to write down some info and straighten our hair and start to take our photos, immediately after that, we got our thumb scanned, waited for a minute and the guy over the counter asked where we want to collect our IC? We contemplated and said at this office. Apparently, we have a choice to collect at any of the country’s registration office. Since we are living and working in Penang, it would be easier to collect it in Penang, but the Penang registration office in downtown has bad parking problems, and we decided to collect at this same location as we go to Malacca almost every month.

Back to the story, after some jokes with the officers there, we were on our way out. The entire experience took less than 10 minutes. This was 4 months back. Last weekend we went back to the registration office to get our brand new IC (Identity Card). Again, it was easy and fast, we just surrender our current IC, and whola, got our brand new IC immediately. The entire experience was less than 5 minutes. It was all good, till we saw our face on the IC. The print quality was appalling. Not only I look like a ‘load shark’ (along), the color, shading and contrast was so bad that I am afraid the entire picture would fad away after a year of usage. In recent news there were promises by the government to improve the quality of the ID. But I guess that does not include my batch. I wonder if we could ask for a change, since the picture of my wife’s ID did not look much like her, and any Chinese looking girl could use her IC and pass as her.

All in all, we were pleased of the entire experience, just that the quality of the ID was bad and felt like the government was being ripped off.

Just got a call from MPH that the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Price will be release this Saturday and my pre-oder is available at either Gurney Plaza MPH or Gurney Tower MPH. Both will open at 7.30am on Saturday morning specially for this release. This got me all excited, till the lady on the phone says the book price for Malaysia has been set by the publisher to be RM99.90. Since I have paid already the RM70, will need to bring another RM29.90 when I collect the book this weekend. What a rip off. I have only myself to blame for making the order in the first place. I guess the lesson learnt in the previous Order of the Phoenix release was easily forgotten. I should have waited for a few months where the book will be significantly cheaper, and most of all, J.K Rowling was very disappointing on the previous book. The only consolation is that the receipt is still tax deductible.
